Legacoop invites support for WeWorld to organize summer camps for girls and boys in Gaza.
Legacoop invites cooperatives and sectoral and territorial associative structures, together with their members, workers, and associates, to support the solidarity initiative that WeWorld, with the support of the Swedish Akelius Foundation, has decided to launch to help children in the Gaza Strip by organizing summer camps with socialization and educational activities.
Active in Palestine since 1992, WeWorld continues to ensure its commitment both in Gaza and the West Bank, despite the difficult conditions of the current situation, particularly in the Gaza Strip. Despite the imposed closures, WeWorld continues to distribute essential goods and water and to carry out its activities to support the displaced population, which includes many children.
Children in Palestine are not only losing their lives but also their future: the extreme conditions in which they are living will have serious psychological impacts, affecting their ability to socialize and live in groups, not to mention that they have already lost two years of schooling.
Each summer camp, lasting one month, costs around €13,500 and allows WeWorld to involve 60 to 70 children, also providing them with meals and school kits.
Legacoop therefore invites everyone to support this solidarity initiative by making a contribution to the EMILBANCA bank account in the name of WeWorld, IBAN IT 47 R 07072 02411 000000092736, specifying the reason for payment as Summer Camps in Gaza – Legacoop.
